Since 1995 more than 350 students have received a Diploma through one of INSTE’s programs. Many alumni have expressed interest in upgrading to one of the degrees now offered by INSTE. This program is in response to that need.

This upgade program will also benefit present and future students who wish to eventually earn a degree. To be admitted to one of the degree programs, the applicant must have the proper number and kind of transfer credits at the time of application for admission. Students who do not have all the necessary transfer credits at the time they enroll in Level Two are encouraged to enroll in one of the diploma programs, and then after they graduate, enroll in this Degree Upgrade program.

The Up-Grade provides an alternate route to the degree. Instead of simultaneously fulfilling the requirements for the degree, the student may elect to complete the diploma program and then enroll for the up-grade program to complete the requirements for the degree.

View admission requirements

To be admitted to this program, the candidate must:

1.    Be an INSTE Level Two graduate
2.    Have the prerequisite transfer credit.
        An accredited baccalaureate degree OR
        Sixty hours of transfer credit:
            - General Education – 36 hours
            - Prof/Voc Education – 24 hours

Professional/Vocational Education (24 credit hours)
The candidate for the Bachelor of Christian Ministry will transfer 24 additional hours of formal professional/vocational education in areas that will complement his/her studies in INSTE with the view of developing a “tent-maker” skill.
