Given the nature of church leadership in the 21st Century, it is likely
that the majority of church leaders will need to work at a job outside their ministerial calling. This program is built around what we call
“the tent-maker method” of leadership and ministry development. In other words, leaders/ministers need to develop professional
skills beyond their ministerial training so that they can work to support themselves as they follow God's leading in ministry.
The objectives of this program are the same as those of the Diploma in Christian Leadership or the Diploma in Christian Ministry.
INSTE does not offer many general education courses, nor does it offer a large selection of professional studies beyond ministry training.
However, by allowing the student to transfer accredited courses from another college or university, INSTE stresses the individual giftedness
of emerging leaders/ministers. Each leader/minister is encouraged to develop professional/vocational skills based on his/her giftedness through
studies at an accredited college or university; i.e., studies that will complement his/her calling to ministry. INSTE determines
the transferability of the courses.
